Opportunities to Consider – The Beinecke Scholarship
Funding for Graduate Study in the Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences
The Beinecke Scholarship Program seeks to encourage and enable highly motivated students to pursue opportunities available to them and to be courageous in the selection of a graduate course of study in the arts, humanities and social sciences. Since 1975 the program has selected more than 500 college juniors from more than 100 different undergraduate institutions for support during graduate study at any accredited university.
- Campus Nomination Draft Deadline – December 7, 2012 – Full Draft Application
- Official Submission Deadline – February 22, 2013
Students enrolled in their junior year of study at the University of Iowa who wish to continue their studies in the humanities, fine arts, or the social sciences at the graduate level are encouraged to apply to represent the University of Iowa in the 2013 Beinecke competition.

University of Iowa students who wish to be considered for institutional nomination for the Beinecke Scholarship MUST meet with the UIHP Fellowships Director, Kelly Thornburg prior to submitting their Campus Nomination Draft application to the UIHP Graduate Fellowships Committee on December 7, 2012
