Opportunities to consider  The Math for America Fellowship

Math for America (MƒA) is a nonprofit organization with a mission to improve mathematics and science education in US public secondary schools by building a corps of outstanding STEM teachers and leaders. Founded in New York City in 2004, MƒA also operates in Berkeley, Boston, Los Angeles, San Diego, Utah and Washington, DC. MƒA offers fellowships for new and experienced teachers and school leaders, including: the MƒA Fellowship, which aims to increase the number of mathematically talented individuals entering the teaching profession; the MƒA Early Career Fellowship, which provides growth opportunities to new mathematics teachers; the MƒA Master Teacher Fellowship, which rewards outstanding experienced mathematics and science teachers; and the MƒA School Leader Fellowship, which supports administrators with a mathematics background.

Important 2013 Math for America Fellowship Deadlines

  • September 17 – 2013 – Application opens at http://www.mathforamerica.org/web/guest/apply
  • November 2, 2012 – Deadline for accessing support for MFA application development from the UIHP Fellowships Director and Scholar Development Committee.
  • January 26, 2013 – Final date for completion of MFA Praxis Exams
  • February 5, 2013 – Final Submission Deadline at http://www.mathforamerica.org/web/guest/apply
