- The Stanley Undergraduate Award for International Research is given annually to outstanding University of Iowa undergraduates for the pursuit of learning activities in international studies that are not available on the UI campus. The competition is open to all UI students; students need not be U.S. citizens to be eligible. Awards are made to students who have, in close consultation with faculty members, developed well-conceived, small-scale independent research or fieldwork projects on international topics, which require travel abroad. Students interested in combining Study Abroad programs with Stanley awards will need to read new 2013 guidelines regarding this procedure. Tuition and fees are not covered by Stanley Awards.
- The Global Health Studies Program (GHSP) invites applications from undergraduate and graduate students for a $500 award to attend a U.S. or foreign global health conference or meeting during calendar year 2014. Two awards will be given: one to an undergraduate student and one to a graduate student.
- Students admitted to the Global Health Studies Certificate program are eligible to apply for a Global Health Studies Travel Award. This award is open to both undergraduate and graduate students.
